Hi! I'm Jifu Zhao
I'm a Ph.D. candidate in Nuclear Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). I will graduate on May 2019 (possibly earlier). I also hold a Master's degree in Applied Statistics from UIUC.
I am interested in Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Quantitative Analysis, and so on. I have 4 years of experience in quantitative analytics and modeling, data science and machine learning. I am proficient in multiple programming languages.
In summer 2018, I worked in Synchrony Financial (GPShopper) in Chicago as a Artificial Intelligence Intern working with large amount of financial data. My work includes data query, clearning, transformation and modeling.
My research projects focus on the interdisciplinary area between Data Science and Radiation Detection. I apply a series of statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data science techniques to radiation detection, more specifically, on anomaly detection.
I am now actively seeking full-time job opportunity as a data scientist, quantitative analyst or software engineer.
